Electric Hand Dryers
Electric hand dryers in a range to suit your preferences. From the lovely plug and play Pebble and Pebble mini, to the ever-popular Windsor, the choice is yours.
We provide these for sale, or rental based upon a 3 year contract.
Why choose electric hand driers, when you can have a paper towel dispenser, which – lets admit it – is much quieter. In busy washroom areas, rather than struggle to clear messy discarded paper towels from the floors, sinks and toilets, you may feel that it is worth looking at an alternative. Regardless of how you manage your washrooms, you will always need to deal with noise of some kind or another, and hand dryer manufacturers are working hard to keep the noise levels lower, while improving drying efficiency.
What about drying efficiency? Well again, it is very much dependent upon your personal choice. For example you might thing that the use of paper towels these days might be cheaper than using electric hand dryers. But have you calculated the cost per hour of an electric hand dryer? * In many cases – especially in medium footfall washrooms – you may well find that the use of a hand dryer against the over zealous use of paper hand towels, and sometimes careless disposal makes electric hand dryers more desirable than you thought.
There are many pros and cons regarding the use of electric hand dryers versus paper towel dispensers. When making your decisions, you might want to weigh up space in your washrooms, usage of bins for waste paper (and regular emptying/refilling the dispensers), hygiene issues as well as cost and aesthetics.
We offer you a great range of electric hand dryers from hands under to hands in, no-touch sensor to push button, warm air to ambient; blades or conventional. If you are thinking about those who may have difficulty reaching up and into a ‘hands-in’ you might prefer a ‘hands under’. We love our Pebble range, because they are plug and play, meaning that if there ever was a problem with a dryer, we could simply unplug the misbehaving unit and plug in a replacement, but there is something in our range to suit all needs and all pockets.
* To calculate an actual cost we need to know:
- Number of users/hand dries per day
- How long per cycle
- Power usage of hand dryer (say 1 kW)
- Cost of electricity kWh
- Calculate as follows:
- kW x number of hours in use = kWh
- kWh x cost per kWh = cost to run appliance.
- So if your supplier charges .36 per hour, it will cost you .72 to run your dryer for 2 hours per day.
We can make some assumptions to help such as:
- the average employee/user uses the facilities 5 times per day.
- If there are 30 people sharing a dryer, that’s 30 x 5 uses per day = 150 cycles per day.
- The average hand drying cycle is 12 seconds
Still not persuaded that electric hand dryers are right for your space? We offer roller towels and paper towels options too.
